Things that I've been thinking about this week.

1. How many Earths can fit inside our sun?

It’s easy to forget how much bigger than the Earth our sun is. This animation from Amazing Astronomy answers the question.

2. Lunchtime = me time

I shared a post last week about a lunchtime walk around London’s Barbican Centre, taking photos of this iconic piece of brutalist architecture. It reminded me that there are always little moments of time that we can repurpose to fit our interests into if we want to. Next time you pop out for lunch, take a few photos and share a story with the world.

3. Help with redundancy

Thankfully I’m over my redundancy and looking towards all the positive adventures ahead. Others may only be at the start of dealing with similar situations. The Redundants is a free website that has collated several great tools and resources to help those laid off. I love their tagline ‘Grow through what you go through’.

4. Thought-provoking questions

I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting and asking myself a bunch of questions to understand where I want to focus my efforts moving forward. I stumbled upon this, 15 People on the Most Important Question They’ve Ever Been Asked. The answers make for a great list of questions to consider.

When was the last time you just sat and thought?

In our always-on culture, being ‘busy’ has become normal. It robs us of the space to truly think.

I often hear people say, ‘If only I had time to think things through.’ But I wonder: is it really a lack of time—or is it a lack of willingness?
