A mixed collection of local images
‘Always wear a camera’ is a quote from Thorsten von Overgaard that I agree with and try to practice. I’d go as far as to say that considering the ubiquitous nature of the camera phone, permanently attached to ourselves, we all adhere to this methodology in one way or another.
Walking around, I often find myself drawn to the mundane, the scenes at the edge of our periphery. However, when I’m in the moment I can’t explain why a light in an alleyway compels me to capture an image. When I return to the image, sometimes days later, I think I see what drew me in. I’ve learnt over this last month that leaving some time between capturing images and reviewing them allows me to be more critical.
