What business are you really in?

A couple of weeks ago David Hieatt asked "what business are you really in?" For me, as a designer, I thought this was easy to answer. I'm a designer, I'm in the business of solving problems.
However, after spending a day with an amazing group of humans at the Do Lectures ‘1-Day Mastermind’ workshop, I realised that I was in a different business.
 
To solve problems, I help others find clarity and define the right problems to solve by asking lots of questions. Through this process, we remove ambiguity and find direction.
 
This means that I’m really in the business of asking questions.
