Knowing how to use my dyslexic thinking helps me manage complexity.

As a freelancer who works across different departments and disciplines, handling large and complex projects can be overwhelming at times.
  • Understanding a lot of information quickly
  • Accepting many moving parts
  • Dealing with missing data points.

These can be challenging for anyone. However, being dyslexic, I have learned to embrace my unique way of thinking and use it to my advantage in such situations.

Instead of feeling overwhelmed, I make an effort to

  • Assess the available information at my own pace
  • Identify patterns through all the inputs I have access to
  • Use my learning to find a clear way to communicate my findings.

I used to consider my dyslexia as a problem, but I now view it as an advantage that allows me to bring clarity to the projects I work on.
