After watching Russell Howard interview David Harewood I had to read this book. David talked so openly about his lived experience and his psychotic breakdowns. The book is both wonderful and disturbing at the same time. It covers race, acting and breakdowns. Providing an insight into the authors’ life growing up in Briton and all he had to deal with.
I chose the audiobook and it doesn’t disappoint. Read by the author, his wonderful gentle voice and acting skills bring the stories to life. Plus, there is the added bonus of an exclusive conversation between David Harewood and historian and writer David Olusoga.
