I’m on a roll with Do Books at the moment, but they publish such great books that are easy to read and digest the content – this one is no different. I was expecting more of an approach to storytelling, writing techniques or similar. Insted, Bobette Buster takes us through a variety of storytelling styles and subjects, each one demonstrates a range of effective narrative techniques. All super useful stuff and leaves us with the 10 key principles of storytelling, a cheat sheet if you like. Not only these but there are also helpful exercises for us to try putting into practice, based on the examples and critiques. This is a useful guide for anyone writing, whether that’s a novel or corporate mission.
