This has to be the quickest book I’ve ever finished—it’s a real page-turner. I found myself flying through multiple chapters in one sitting. The stories are revealing, and Guenther Steiner’s writing is wonderfully entertaining. More than once, I found myself laughing out loud at his sharp, witty commentary.
The book feels unmistakably written in Guenther’s own voice. It’s as though he’s sitting right next to you, recounting the tale himself. I couldn’t help but read it in his accent, thanks to years of watching Formula 1 and the extra air-time he’s earned through Netflix’s Drive to Survive.
Steiner offers a clear insight into what it takes to build an F1 team from the ground up, charting the journey of Haas from concept to pole position. The highs and lows are laid bare, and they underscore why constant investment is essential to keep pushing forward.
Even if your interest in F1 or motorsport is only passing, I’d highly recommend this book. Heck, read it for the sheer entertainment value alone.
